چکیده
For a sample of 9,799 subscribers to single mobile operator, we observe switching between handsets July, 2011, and December, 2014. We estimate discrete choice model in which account for disutility from different operating systems brands. Our estimation results indicate the presence significant inertia use our simulate market shares absence costs conclude that Android smaller would increase at expense share iOS such context.

We study a framework where two duopolists compete repeatedly in prices and where chosen prices potentially affect future market shares, but certainly do not affect current sales. This assumption of consumer inertia causes (noncooperative) coordination on high prices only to be possible as an equilibrium for low values of the discount factor. In particular, high discount factors increase opportu...

We consider an economy in which a heterogeneous population of agents have to choose among a common set of alternatives. The utilities associated to the different alternatives posses a common component and an individual component, which reflect differences in the underlying structure of agents preferences. The common components are characterized by a fixed term which describe the intrinsic utili...

This paper studies a dynamic pricing problem for a monopolist firm selling per...

When choosing for others, however, this is not the ...
